Wendy Barckholtz grew up in Clover and attended grades K-8 at our school.  After high school in Filer, she studied at Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska, where she earned her teaching degree in Secondary English and History.

She is married to Pastor Steve Barckholtz, and taught elementary school in St. Louis, Missouri, while he was doing his pastor training there.  Before coming back to the Clover area, they lived in Mammoth Lakes, California, Elko, Nevada, and Hailey, Idaho.  During those 25 years, Wendy taught private piano lessons for up to 40 students in their home.

Wendy enjoys music, photography, gardening, and watching her son, Zane, play baseball or daughter, Mallory, do gymnastics.

One of her favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 40:31, “They that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength.  They will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”
