ABOUT MRS. JOHNSON
Florence Reinke Johnson grew up in Southern Idaho. A camp counselor at Camp Perkins, she has also always taught Sunday School and eventually graduated from Concordia University, in Seward, Nebraska.
Majoring in History and Theology, Florence received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with certification as a Director of Christian Education. During her internship at Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings, Nebraska, she focused her Fridays on preschoolers, with a community Bible Story Time. Florence served as Summer Youth Director at King of Kings Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas, and came back to start a preschool at Faith Lutheran Church, Pocatello, Idaho.
Later, while teaching at Wood River Christian School in Ketchum, Idaho, Florence met and became engaged to Paul Johnson. After getting married, Paul and Florence lived in Idaho Falls and Pocatello where they had 3 sons. The boys attended Grace Lutheran School in Pocatello.
Paul decided to attend Concordia Seminary St. Louis to become a pastor. While in St. Louis, Florence worked at Concordia Seminary Library. All 3 sons attended Concordia University Wisconsin, and are now married and live in Oak Park, Illinois, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Nashville, Tennessee. Paul and Florence have 4 grandchildren.
After seminary, Paul was called to serve in Georgetown and Cool, California. There Florence focused on volunteer work. His second call took the family to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where Florence worked with special needs toddlers and preschoolers for an organization serving their families.
Paul and Florence have been at Peace Lutheran Church in Filer, Idaho, for 7 years. Florence briefly taught at Clover, teaching 3rd – 5th graders. She has also been a substitute teacher at all the schools in Filer and Buhl. In Buhl, she was a PSR for a year.

Tuesday-Thursday from 8:30-11:30am.
We combine learning about the love of Jesus with a curriculum that will help your child to read, use, and write letters, sounds, and numbers. Children will experience learning through circle time activities, calendar activities, art lessons, listening skills, songs and chants, all wrapped up inside a fun, faith-filled environment!
